Good morning people of the world,
25/Jan/11 12:00 AM
Good Maen, Plum, Eve, Dorthea, Karen...
25/Jan/11 12:03 AM
2:03 Good evening all. Will someone please put the fire out as it's too damn hot here.
25/Jan/11 12:04 AM
Thank you, Sue, for the warmth in today's photo. You have more fire there than I have in my woodstoves at the moment. I have chosen to wrap up in a blanket in front of the computer over bending to tend stoves. Shall wait until girls are done with outside chores and then ask them to build the fires.
25/Jan/11 12:05 AM
We can't do that anymore. The fines are huge.
25/Jan/11 12:05 AM
Sorry, Anne.
25/Jan/11 12:05 AM
How goes it my fellow Sudoku lovers?
25/Jan/11 12:06 AM
Really, Dorthea? I had no idea. Good thing we can still do it as our house would be very cold without a wood burning stove! Was just bringing more wood to the house yesterday while the weather holds.
25/Jan/11 12:09 AM
Actually, Plum, I love to see a woodburning fire but I've only got gas here for heating.
25/Jan/11 12:13 AM
May as well grab the 13th spot.
25/Jan/11 12:14 AM
Good Maen all...
More snow last nite, but less than an inch. Guess I'll have to drive my Fla. born & raised gf to her doctor's app't. The white stuff panics her.
25/Jan/11 12:14 AM
Vici We have smog here a lot. There are more than 50 'no burn' days here every year. $50 for first offense, $250.00 for the next. It keeps going up.
25/Jan/11 12:14 AM
We would be pleased to send you a cool (12°F a.k.a. -11°C)) breeze if we can have some of that heat, Anne!
25/Jan/11 12:18 AM
Wish I was sitting in front of this fire. It's very cold here ... brrrr.
25/Jan/11 12:18 AM
easy jigsaw is strange. all that white scalp makes her look like she doesn't have thick hair.
25/Jan/11 12:19 AM
Dorthea - if you have iTunes - check out radio feeds - Golden Oldies - Music From the Blue Light. (no commercials).

Otherwise check out http://musicfromthebluelight.com/ (has commercials unless a member - fee) on iTunes it is free.

I have to get dressed, as the garbage man comes this morning, and I didn't put my three cans out. Sort, sort, sort.
25/Jan/11 12:21 AM
I agree Anne, it is too hot here for me to get to sleep! Please we do not need a fire!
25/Jan/11 12:22 AM
Can I get 22?
25/Jan/11 12:22 AM
We can have wood-burning fireplaces & stoves and 'ceremonial fires' (campfires) without calling the fire department for prior permission. But we also have what they call 'no burn' days (i.e. days too dry to burn) once in awhile.
25/Jan/11 12:24 AM
Yes, June! Congrats!
25/Jan/11 12:24 AM
Eve I still have a old 33 and and 1/3 record player and the records to go with it. All my 78 are on tape Yes I have one of those too, plus about 2 hundred disks. I learned a long time ago not to get rid of the old players. I still don't have blueray, and don't think I'll do that. (getting too old)
25/Jan/11 12:25 AM
Good Morning everyone! I would like to be in front of that fire, also!
25/Jan/11 12:35 AM
Dorthea - I still have my old records and some really old 78's (kid's ones), and a stereo to play them on, which I do sometimes. Just the 33's and 45's.
25/Jan/11 12:42 AM
Just sitting here drinking a hot toddy before bed to try and get rid of a cold I seemed to catch unexpectedly.
25/Jan/11 12:43 AM
zzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzz
25/Jan/11 12:48 AM
We have "no burn" days here, too, Dorthea...but that is just for outside brush burning. Wish they'd outlaw the brush burning - it's horrible here when all the neighbors are bruning their wet brush. We take ours for mulching or use the leaves and such for my composting.
25/Jan/11 12:49 AM
Anne ... but not too hot for a hot toddy?
25/Jan/11 12:50 AM
Good morning ladies... and Captain.
A bit chilly here this morning... 38°F. Cloudy, but no precip.
25/Jan/11 1:20 AM
Great day skiing yesterday. A bit cold (-5 degr F) and windy at times, but the sun came out later and it was nice. My legs are worn out today...
25/Jan/11 1:29 AM
Quite a hush has fallen over Sudokuland. Has everyone gone (back) to bed?
Where is Jerry and his eye-opening coffee?
25/Jan/11 1:29 AM
How's your foot, Jim?
25/Jan/11 1:30 AM
I am in awe of anyone who can say -5°F is "a bit cold." Do you have yeti in your ancestry?
25/Jan/11 1:32 AM
Oh, pardon me. No offense, intended, Jim.
(That last comment was abominable.)
25/Jan/11 1:33 AM
EEG's & EEB's.
When we bought our house in Florida way back in 1986 I wondered why it was built with a fireplace. But now I understand that it is very nice to have & use on many "cold" FL nights. (Please no snickering, you tough Northerners!)
25/Jan/11 1:34 AM
Have a snow cone ... don't worry. They're lemon.
