2:46 Hi to all. Lovely photograph Chris.

Thought for the Day:

a)May you live all the days of your life.
b)The energy of the mind is the essence of life.

I thought you might like a multiple choice today.

Hello Mickey x
05/Jul/09 12:29 AM
I think everyone's watching the Serena vs Venus slugfest Betty! I hesitate to say it, but Serena's got it in the bag.

Happy 4th of July -- light rain this morning means I don't have to water my new wildflower patch -- Thanks --
05/Jul/09 12:31 AM

05/Jul/09 12:32 AM

Mymare - you're just the person I wanted to see. Do you know what's going on in Chicago in September? I'll be in the area for a high school reunion and hope to spend a couple of days in the Windy City. Any festivals, etc.? I'll be in the Crystal Lake/Huntley area from the 16th through the 19th More...

Hello andre.. ( still can't do that thingy on the e lol)
05/Jul/09 12:37 AM
Wow, that was the the most amazing display of women's tennis I've seen! Congratulations Serena.
05/Jul/09 12:41 AM
Yep, that allowed Serena in Jane and she didn't need a second invitation. From the start of the first set tie-break the result wasn't in doubt.
05/Jul/09 12:42 AM
It is very quiet on here, is that the normal or is it just today?
05/Jul/09 12:42 AM
Mickey - the past 2 days have been very quiet on this side of the world because of the holiday weekend. We're heading out for the beach soon and then over to some friends' for a cookout, followed by fireworks at the oceanfront.
05/Jul/09 12:47 AM
Speaking of fireworks, check out this site: http://llerrahmusic.com/july4thfireworks.htm
05/Jul/09 12:47 AM

Catch you all later
05/Jul/09 1:16 AM
It's raining, it's pouring, the old lady was snoring. We have over an inch so far, we really need it but TODAY? Might let up before fireworks time if not no fireworks today for us.
05/Jul/09 1:22 AM

2:09 An appropriate picture for helping us keep history in perspective here in the USA on July 4, 2009.
05/Jul/09 1:42 AM
John - haha
Jane - will you be swinging past SW Michigan?
Mickey - in 6 months I'd love to spend Christmas on the beach in Melbourne. And your winter isn't as bad as ours, so it's hard to get any sympathy from me, sorry.
05/Jul/09 1:47 AM
Hmm, being this close to p.2 is rather like watching someone walk up to a doorway where a hidden bucket of water is waiting to be tipped on the next person who opens the door.
05/Jul/09 1:49 AM
I wonder who's going to "reach for the doorknob"?
