2:24 Nite all, have a good day.

A lady was picking through the frozen turkeys at the grocery store, but she couldn't find one big enough for her family. She asked a
stock boy,
'Do these turkeys get any bigger?'
The stock boy replied, 'No ma'am, they're dead.'

here's one from yesterday's Sun Herald:
A bloke is in the supermarket queue when the beyooodiful blonde woman behind him suddenly says, 'Hello!'. Thrilled, but surprised, he stammers: 'Do you know me?' She replies: 'I think you're the father of one of my kids'

Hello all! I might talk about kites for a bit since that is what we are doing for the next few weeks. I thought I would start with a little kite history.

Kites may have originated in Micronesia, Polynesia and Melanesia where leaf kites have been traditionally used to fish. A single More...

Dog days of summer?

China may also be the birthplace of kites since the earliest written records are from China. The famous General Han Hsin used a kite to defeat an evil emperor and establish the Western Han Dynasty in 206 B.C. One version of the legend says that he flew a kite over the walls of the well-fortified More...

Kites were also used in both China and Japan for many different festivals and celebrations. Kite fighting was (and still is) a popular sport in many Eastern countries. A fighter kite is usually small and highly maneuverable. The line is coated with a paste of cooked rice, tree gum and powered More...

A Rokkaku kite battle is very fun to watch. There will be many at this years Festival. The kites that are cut fall to the ground and children run to try and catch them. It is an event filled with laughter!
Wishing everyone a fine day. The sun is out, time to get out and 'greet the day'!

4:23 Hey Carol I like the info on kits. Thanks... Sorry Hugh... but you have to admit they are heartbreakers!!
 |  |
Hey Gath - I can't get into the tough puzzle... it seems to divert back to easy. Cheers.

3:56: another men's best friend.
Carol; you have brought back many fond (and fun) memories. When we were teenagers (a few eons ago) my friends built a huge kite in the shape of a plane. We took it to the top of a hill and ran down to launch it. After many tries and failures (and loads of More...

Gath, the tough page seems to have another copy of the easy puzzle. Can we get a real tough?
 |  |
Extra Warning! Do NOT attempt to fly a kite near power lines!
 |  |
actually, it looks like the link to tough is just pointing sometimes to the easy page and sometimes to a blank page. Weird.
 |  |
Sweet puppy - embarassing time!
 |  |
The Kite History is interesting. I had a large box kite when I was a child. It lasted for several years. My children had received kites from China as gifts. They were very beautiful. Goood Maen to everyone.

Hello har - and everybody else - off to get ready for the start of school in Texas.
It is HOT!!
 |  |
Hi Everybody. Make this a good day/night where you may be. I like Carol's suggestion, if it's something you think might be fun...go for it! Hi Harley and Jamie. Jamie, have a great school year. Hope your schedule is good with all of the kids you may have. Did you have a chance to get into the Outlander while you were away? keep cool if you can, if not think cool thoughts.
 |  |
Carol: The book, 'The Kite Runner', has several kite fighting scenes in it like you describe.

Nice coloring on that dog.
 |  |
Very sweet puppy...
 |  |
Hi, NAL and DAVE!

Good luck with the new school year, JAMIE!
 |  |
That is a sweet dog. tjmac, I didn't leave because of the crustys, I think they're actually pretty entertaining, except for the hard core insults. I left because it was after 1:30 am and i was fading fast. I'm paying for it this morning. It's not as easy to stay up into the wee hours as it was when I was younger.
 |  |
Yeah, KEITH, as you age, instead of staying up until the 'wee' hours, you have the 'wee wee' hours!! LOL

Hey, MAMA!
