Only catamaran I've been on was on holiday in St. Lucia.
Don't remember how many masts it had!

Fast puzzle today. Must have had the wind behind my sails!

No storm here. Rain would be good for the wildfire raging north east of us. They are slowly getting it under control anyway. I'm very tired of the smokey air.

Hot, humid and drizzly here. Perfect weather for the grass in the lawn to grow out of control.
I've never seen a double masted catamaran, only single masted ones with the mast in the middle. I wouldn't want to man the lines in this. Tacking would be difficult.

Reminder.... International Talk Like A Pirate Day is on September 19th.

(( Trivia... the flag pictured above was the one used by Calico Jack Rackam, a flamboyant but minor pirate whose main claim to fame was that he had two women in his crew, both masquerading as men: Ann Bonney and Mary Read.))

Enjoy the train, Sue. It is breathtaking! Durango is one of my favorite places to be. I wonder why?

We are having rain here, too. Hubby's a little disappointed. He's been sanding and painting different areas of the trim around the house. I, for one, will not miss hearing that sander all day. As I mentioned yesterday, it reminds me of being in the dentist's chair.

youkidme, if you are here, I was having problems yesterday with receiving answers in my inbox. They were coming in sporadically. I did get yours, eventually!

The fire we are getting smoke from is called the North Pass fire. It was started Aug. 18th by dry lightning. It has burned 41,983 acres, and is now 68% contained. Since it is in remote wilderness area, I've not heard of buildings burned, or injuries, but still, it is a huge fire.

Speaking of answers.....

The answer to yesterday's poozle: PROSE - The only word where both ''im'' and ''ex'' can be added to the front to make new words.
Both prefixes can also be added to the words above the list.

So they may fuel their Sudoku addiction ANYWHERE, this 4 ply More...

Same here, Kathy. Course, I didn't spend much time on it.
07/Sep/12 1:19 AM

I want to put into perspective comments that were on a picture on one of the Kid's Sudoku pages yesterday. I agree with all comments made, but disagree with where the picture was posted. To put this into perspective, when Michael Jackson's video 'Thriller' was released in 1986/87(?). my More...

My hubby and I used to race single masted catamarans. Little 14 footers that were fast but when you had to tack, were slow like snail getting started again.
07/Sep/12 2:45 AM
Since I was the only crew, I got the honor of getting the jib onto the other side. But once you did so, you had to climb to the high side and hook yourself to the stays and lean out. I forgot to that once and only once. You should have heard my hubby when he had to fish me out of the ocean in the middle of a race!

Shall I dood it?
