WWII Memorial, Washington, DC

The day we visited the World War Two Memorial in Washington DC, a large group of WWII vets were there. They are growing old, and feeble, many consigned to a wheelchair, like those in the front left of this photo. I looked at those old men and imagined them at 21, big & bad US Marines, charging into the face of near-certain death with his machine gun blazing. I thanked each one I could, for their service.
