Katydid

A sizeable katydid (Pterophylla camellifolia - female). I've learned that most of the insects I call grasshoppers are actually katydids, there are plenty of variations. These are fascinating rather than creepy.

Definitely larger. She's had a good life! Makes me wonder (1) how she got into MIL's house and (2) how long she'd been there .
