The wood ducks which Eve refers to are North American Wood Ducks, Aix sponsa. They are found all over the contiguous United States, I even have some which raise chicks on the creek behind my home. TPictured here are White-winged Wood Ducks, Cairina scutulata, which are native to Asia, where they are critically endangered.
