Tough Sudoku for 25/March/2007

Today's puzzle is again hardly worth the tough label. Nevertheless, as noted yesterday, some prefer such a puzzle.
I have decided to blog this one also, as perhaps it is a good study on Coloring.

25 minutes. Not too tough.

Wagdy! Is this the lake/pool created by the big dam? I mean we know that the Nile is one big river, but even so.

While I like this level of difficulty very much, I appear to me in the minority. I don't want to be the caboose of this train, so might I suggest to add another level called 'Die Hard' (or something like that, you native speakers can surely thing of a catchy adjective).

I guess it's up to Gath to tell us whether the algorithms spewing these puzzles out are up to the task.

One of my lovely photos of Nile river in 'Aswan' upper Egypt (500 miles south Cairo City).
This is the river nile and not the lake which is behind Aswan Dam.
Many luxary ships are sailling on the Nile to cover all the tourist locations between 'Loxor' and 'Aswan'(about 180 miles)

Jyrki, not a bad idea. I 'play' with this level puzzle and don't sweat the mistakes, just rethink it and don't worry about the time. It make the other levels stronger. Believe me, I'm nowhere near the player of Steve and some others, but I enjoy the time.

Wgdy:great picture. it's always a great picture when water is in it.

Jyrki: i've seen the harder puzzles called 'demonic' and 'diabolical'. either means they will take a long, long time to solve, if ever.

I also like this level of Tough very much. It doesn't take layers and layers of work, and may seem easy to folks with excellent pattern search skills, but it is a good exercise for those of use who are learning these techniques.

i have been doing sudoku's for about 2 months now, i do find tough level very challenging since i still have to understand concepts of colouring and properly a heap of other concepts as well, tough level normally takes me a few hours to complete if i even do manage to complete it lol
