Re. yesterday's marathon.
To paraphrase Alexander Graham Bell:
"What hath Glinda wrought?"
12/Jun/10 12:08 AM
With the connivance of André for suggesting such a silly enterprise.
12/Jun/10 12:09 AM

The tree in my front yard looks like that. Everyone said I would kill it pruning it, but it has more leaves and looks healthier than the rest of the trees on the block. Most people took their trees out because of the mess and falling branches.

Fun at the expense of what, Sue? Consider the cramped fingers of all those who carried out that daunting task. How 'bout the furrowed brows deep in concentration to keep track of progress. The aching eyebones of all us driven to read every post. And finally the grit and determination to see the More...

Many thanks to all of you for your birthday wishes. I had a lovely lazy day, and went out for a meal in the evening with Pete and my daughter, who is staying with us for a fortnight. I don't post that often, these days, but frequently read your comments and do the puzzles. Thanks again.

jeb, "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.”

2:06 to you all from Portland, Oregon.
12/Jun/10 1:39 AM
Morning all. Why does it feel like I've been at the computer for days and days?

Jeb, I like to think I helped with yesterday's postings (and it was kind of fun), and I paid special attention to my punctuation ... but I would need to lose a few pounds before you "hoist" me anywhere.

2:08 Hi to all. Did something happen yesterday?

Thought for the Day:

An optimist is someone who falls off the Empire State Building, and after 50 floors says, 'So far so good!'

Hmm. Did you all go and have fun yesterday? I almost signed into Sudokuland several times over the last week or so but have been in one of my down cycles. I'll have to check out yesterday's posts.

What wonderful teamwork. I've been reading about the benefits of asking teams of people to help us reach our dreams. Looks like when I figure out what mine are I ought to post them here! Kudos to everyone.
12/Jun/10 3:04 AM
A very hug-able tree, if you've got long arms, that is.
12/Jun/10 3:29 AM
Aphorism of the day:
Business conventions are important because they demonstrate how many people a company can operate without.
12/Jun/10 3:30 AM
I think I had better find other ways to spend my time today than lots of posts on here like yesterday!
Good morning everyone.
12/Jun/10 4:16 AM
Good afternoon to all! That looks like a good climbing tree.
12/Jun/10 4:54 AM
Andre ... your wish is our command, but please don't let it happen again. Tee Hee.
12/Jun/10 4:55 AM
It was great to see everyone participating yesterday in a 'whimsy come true.' Kudos to André for suggesting it and to Glinda for making it happen! And to all who participated, chocolate... that is a special double chocolate fudge beavertail pastry to enjoy!
