At the other end of life... my son (a by-product of a merger) finally found a job yesterday after 19 months looking! Had to go out of state. He had tried to avoid having to sell his house by looking in-state - since the housing market is at a standstll. Hopefully his wife will find a job quickly in the new state.
13/Mar/10 12:29 AM
we pray for your father.
Hope all will go well.
13/Mar/10 12:32 AM
Nancy - I am sorry to hear about your dad. He and your family are in my prayers.

Shiela - Prayers are offered that your son will be able to sell his house!

2.13 Good afternoon. I think I prefer a more solid bridge.
13/Mar/10 12:40 AM
May I extend my wishes for a peaceful journey for your father, Nancy.

A woman calls her boss one morning and tells him that she is staying home because she's not feeling well.

'What's the matter?', he asks.

'I have a case of anal glaucoma,' she says in a weak voice.

'What in the hell is anal glaucoma?'

'I can't see my a$$ coming into work today.'
13/Mar/10 12:51 AM
Regarding the bridge, it could almost bear the sign "Little Plum was here." I say almost because after building something like this, she would put up a sign that charged 5 cents to use it.

2:40 Hello to all.

Thought for the Day:

The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions—the little soon-forgotten charities of a kiss, a smile, a kind look, a heartfelt compliment in the disguise of a playful raillery, and the countless other infinitessimals of pleasurable thought and genial feeling.

Nancy - my thoughts and prayers will be with you. I understand - my m-i-l was just accepted by hospice in her decline through Alzheimer's. There are certainly mixed feelings involved.
Sheila - our son is also going through the job problems - he was laid off as a landscape architect in a tough market.
13/Mar/10 1:34 AM
I'd walk on that bridge ... with not very much nervousness at all.
13/Mar/10 1:41 AM
I can't echo Keith's comment. I would walk on it, but my nerves would be saying "NO!".
13/Mar/10 1:42 AM
