Well East coast girls are hip
I really dig those styles they wear
And the Southern girls with the way they talk
They knock me out when I'm down there
The Midwest farmer's daughters really make you feel alright

We are at war with the snails, they have eaten the two cucumber plants. We can't use snail bait as we have two blue tongue lizards that eat snails, they had better start doing their job or else.

For Keith !

Hi Amelia. I had a snail problem out the front of our home a while back. I just went out each morning at dawn, collected them all up and squashed them. Do that often enough and the problem is solved.

DISCLAIMER: No blue tongue lizards were harmed during this procedure. Just lots of snails.

everybody. Thanks Keith, just watched some videos on molten glass, very interesting

I hope your flight problem has been resolved, and you are on your way, Tom.

Thanks for the head's up, Sarah! I love Boston cream pie. I made one for my Grandson not too long ago. He had never had it (or, heard of it). He ate half of it.

Amelia, my Grandmother used to put orange peels in her garden. Snails seemed to love them. She would collect the snail laden peels in the morning and dispose of the little critters, then put down fresh peels.

I think my mother used to put vanilla pudding in the middle of Boston Cream Pie, or else maybe she told me that's what it was so I would not turn up my nose at the notion of custard. It was her favorite type of cake.

Amelia, here is a website with suggestions for snails & slugs, but one of those listed is quite similar to Kathy's above adding a banana skin, grapefruit peel or melon rind out near affected plants at night, and dispose of the peel β€” critters and all β€” in the morning.

Here are other ideas:

AmeliaWhile there are probably any number of suggestions on the site that Joyce mentions onethat has worked for uis is topour some beer into a can or shallow dish, leave it where they are and empty it next day. That way they should die happy, especially if it is Fat Tire beer. It really does work.πŸ€πŸ₯ƒπŸ†˜πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡ͺπŸ¦”πŸŒž

Terrible punctuation and spacing in the above. I did it on the iPad but i should have done better than that.
It is another lovely day here again, though there are forecasts of rain possibly later today, but definitely, 95% certainty at the weekend. Let it rain children, let it rain.

It looks like the site has swallowed my avatar, so I will just have to swallow a Carlton Light to cheer me up.
19/Oct/18 12:46 PM
I've changed my avatar to see if will solve the problem. Has it?
19/Oct/18 12:48 PM
Yeah, it did, so I will finish off with a CP and wait for the page turners to arrive.
19/Oct/18 12:50 PM
I'll not be a page turner, tonight, but I'll put us a little closer...
