And here's today's factoid:

A Thought For The Day:

Why is it that one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Good morning to all! Grab your snow shovels and come help!
28/Nov/13 12:07 AM
A light dusting of snow here. Over 20 Cms so far with 10 to 15 more expected through the day. Winter is definitely here!
28/Nov/13 12:08 AM
I think we had snow here once but it melted before it reached the ground.

Okay, this one is just for fun. Do you know who these 'Infamous Sudoku Players' are?

1, A grandmother living in Kiwi-land-> a Russian made amphibious assault rifle
2. A grandmother in western USA who is small in stature but big in thought-> a Zimbabwean musical instrument

Sunny today!
A bit chilly at 20 F (-6.6C) degrees!
Only a dusting of snow here, CG.
(Can't hardly see our dusting - unlike CG's.)

How many more doctors does it take to change a light bulb?

Someone needs to tell the butterflies to wash their hands!
(I have a photo of a whole flock of beautiful blue butterflies enjoying themselves 'smelling' something-not-so-aromatic on a horse trail in the Smoky Mountains!)

It's a fun picture and made a fun jigsaw, but it still bugs me that the webmaster is unwilling to fix the issues with the jigsaws for the 'Easy' Sudoku. It's not as if no one has complained about it!

I could have gone the rest of my life not knowing that about butterflies.
And Doug, you have to TAKE them camping in order to use a whole box. One trip I had packed everything we could possibly need...or so I thought. More...

The answer to yesterday's poozle:

The gentlemen have it today. I award winners Hal, Greg, Doug, and Mr. Cee (!) the timely winner's holiday crown

Seems nothing will get done around here today while I ponder Greg's ''just for fun'' offering. Too bad. I have my priorities.

Not being a programmer, Bev, I don't know, but my guess is that the code necessary to correct this issue between the Sudoku and the Jigsaw sites might be way more complicated than it seems. It frustrates me, too, when a picture is too big, but every day, there are 9 other Sudoku reward pictures, most of which will work on the Jigsaw site. I just say, ''Oh well,'' and go do some of those.

Kathy, While you are awaiting the fix for 'Easy' jigsaws, try http://www.jigzone.com/. It is really a great site for jigsaws. Lots of puzzles, different cuts, etc.

Hello everyone!

Everybody. I didn't get as much snow as CG but it was enough that the guys plowed out the driveway for the first time this year. Wishing all Americans a Happy Thanksgiving and fun times with friends and family tomorrow.

Denny, another good site is the http://www.jigidi.com/ site.

Doug.... I've often wondered that myself.

I agree, Amelia. I adore Jigidi. You can even make your own jigsaw puzzles.

Hi all. Many, many thanks for all your kind thoughts. It has been a difficult week emotionally and physically, but I feel we did things just as my Dad would have wished and I believe he would have been as proud of us as we were of him. How wonderful to be able to smile through your tears...I never thought it was possible, but what a good feeling it is. Thank you all once more.

The barber gets a little wooden ball from a cup on the shelf and tells the old cowboy to put it More...
