I have been doing a bit of work on the Clips, in fact I have killed them off - and resurrected them as the 'Sudoku Forum'.

Finally, there is a place to actually talk about sudoku. It seems that some people like coming to this site to play it! . You can reach More...

mAen all! Kathy, if you want to see where I live, look at the reports on Tour de France today and tomorrow : Saintes is 60km from Angoulême and 30km from Cognac. My grandfather was a 'cognac' maker (sth like brandy) and my father still owns vineyards but he's not allowed to distil wine.
Our river is the Charente and my house is next above it.

Hi Everyone - A good day/evening to all!

Having seen the great response to Angie's request for help for her daughter's assignment I thought I'd ask if anyone is able to help our son.

Lee is currently conducting research for his Honours thesis (Murdoch University, Western Australia). More...

Good morning to all! Anyone for dandelion wine?
28/Jul/07 12:19 AM
Hope you all have a fantastic day/night where ever you are in this wonderful world of ours.

Great Pic, thought it was a sunflower at first.
Does anyone recall the TV show, Bill and Ben the flowerpot men, with little weed?
28/Jul/07 12:20 AM

A liitle music to start the new day on the site.... Willie Nelson singing ''Always on My Mind.'' Enjoy!
28/Jul/07 12:21 AM
3:18 VERY slow time today!
28/Jul/07 12:23 AM
It is a sunflower, isn't it?
28/Jul/07 12:26 AM

Looks like a Sunflower
28/Jul/07 12:27 AM
Sure looks like a sunflower to me. If it's a dandelion, it must be some exotic variety I'm not familiar with. Our dandelions have solid yellow faces.
28/Jul/07 12:29 AM
I guess CG is trying to say that Ottawa dandelions grow bigger and prettier than others?
28/Jul/07 12:32 AM
Ok, you I have to say, 'don't you just love youtube'

have updated my to yep you guessed it.. Bill & Ben the Flowerpot Men, oh and little Weed features in it also.
28/Jul/07 12:34 AM

I never could understand that show Angie. Seeing it thirty something years later has not helped any! But thank you. I shall now get out of the time machine and go to bed, hopefully not with that song in my head!
28/Jul/07 12:42 AM
Well, I have been wrong before. It probably is a sunflower, but why the comment 'the beauty of an unkept lawn?' My first reaction was a dandelion.
28/Jul/07 12:45 AM
Ahh CG, I see your point. Very valid. That picture comment did have me confused, but then, that's not hard to do!
28/Jul/07 12:48 AM
oh they call the sun flower 'lawn' o'er there???
28/Jul/07 12:50 AM
Yep have to agree with you there at first glance I thought it was a sunflower but the comment made me question it.
Oh well, very late here and have a busy weekend in store. So its

My husband scatters 10 pounds of oiled sunflowered seeds for birds each spring and the birds have a feast in the fall. It looks so pretty to see almost 1/2 acres of 'wild' sunflowers. We enjoy it as much as the birds, because its' pretty and the antics of the birds is fun, too. It's cheap entertainment!

You are most welcome Eric. I think Jane missed the hint of ironic twist. Or if she didn't, maybe I need to set new parameters and redesign my algorithm.

Pen/Perth. hope your son gets lots of responses to his survey. i had posted a question on your page, but after i looked at the survey, the question was a moot point. i should have checked it out first! how goofy was that.

fellow Sudokuholics & newcomers! Due to some computer problems (due to a big lightning storm & power outage, I believe) I have once again fallen behind on comments & new happenings. I will try to go back & catch up on what I missed. Are there any volunteers to find me a smilie More...

That is a sunflower. Being from the sunflower state, we are quite familiar with them. There are upwards of 50 different species of them and they proliferate along roadsides. A number of years ago, the Governors of Kansas and Iowa got into a quarrel over sunflowers when the State of Iowa declared them as being noxious weeds.

Be sure to go to the url listed on Pen from Perth's posting about their son's research project. It only took a couple of minutes. Research students need all the help they can get.
