Space Shuttle Discovery's Contrail
Long after the shuttle is gone, the contrail of the burnt exhaust gases hangs in the air. It is a rather noxious mix of the by-products of the solid rocket booster chemical burning and the water vapor resultant from the main engines mix of liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. Locals all hope the wind does not blow it inland!
