Albany Anne had a bad wind and rain storm, too. That's between the two.

Albany is 400ks (250miles) south of Perth

Ruby, do not think so, a nother cold front is comming down and that is why it is turning toward us . if it does not rain out in GA it may go back to sea.

Summer Holidays Ruby, Hubby has 3 weeks off, so time to relax unwind and do nothing !!

If a gulf storm goes to Georgia we could get some of it. Our snows come through Atlanta.

yes in the Caravan, why Albany, we love it down there. much cooler than in Perth, and is a lovely part of the world.
Also have family down there, and friends we catch up with, and also catch up with Anne/Albany.

and because we go to the same Caravan Park each year, you make friends with the regulars, time to catch up with them and see how there year has gone by ..

That's absolutely cool, Rola. I'm glad to know that you know Anne. That's neat. That area is supposed to have a lovely Mediteranian (sp) climate.

going inland would be far toooooo hot at that time of the year.. along the coast, we can go for swims in the ocean, walk along the beach ...

why go to Albany, fingers are slipping

OH, there are people who are permenant residents of the RV park? Or they make that thier headquarters and travel a lot? We have some retirees who do that here. only home is a home on wheels!

we up here in Perth have the Mediterranean Climate, where Anne is it is much cooler !!

no Albany is a very touristy town, and everyone goes on Holidays down to Albany, lot of the farmers go there.

Ruby, they really have no idea where this tropical storm is going, heck it pipped up out of nowhere and was a tropical storm hours after they called it an area of interest.

If Albany is a tourist destination there will be a lot of things you can do.

Is Albany much larger than Perth?

Hubby and I don't do much of the touristy sight seeing, been there, done that !!
This year we are having some friends come down, over New Year.
one set are staying in thier caravan for a week on the site next to us.
another set are staying in nearby motel for 4 days.
so a big New Year Eve's gathering in the Caravan Park !!

Rolanda, what is the major . . . cannot remember how to ask what i want to ask. . . what are the major jobs in Perth?

you will have christmas at home and then leave, think you said leaving on the 27th??

no Albany is not large, a small town really
Hubby will be exhausted by the time Christmas comes, will be working crazy hours (more so than now, so we really do nothing much other than relaxing, walking,smimming, picnicking, movies, catching up etc..

Albany sounds like it could be like our Myrtle Beach -- shows, water parks, restaurants, golf courses, and thousands of things to buy.

Major industries , that is what I was asking hehehe

And I cannot imagine putting up a christmas tree in our July kind of weather! Mid summer and Christmas do not seem to go. Heck lately when we had not had really cold weather till almost Christmas, I had trouble getting into the spirit of shopping and decorating and wraping and cooking.

dont know any other way of celebrating Christmas Tricia...

Like I do not know any other eay either, although I did fly into SNOW one christmas afternoon. It was loverly, flying over Kentucky ( horse country) and seeing the pasture fences decorated with lights reflecting on the snow.

Hubby does Renovation Kitchens, Laundrys and Bathrooms, not new buildings

What got me was on the Parent's Page. Little Laura in a fancy, light. summer sun dress that was her Christmas frock.

too hot to wear anything other than light summer clothing Ruby !!
