Hi Rena, not much doing for me today. I'm enjoying a day off and being very lazy.

Have been on and off the site and various pages for about 5 and a half hours now. A rare luxury!

Haven't been houseworking like I should have been - maybe tomorrow!

I'm off to finish watching a DVD I have to return to the shop. Adieu!

CP was on a roll but she must have gotten sick of being on her own, with no-one to show off to

the appointment went well.
The echocardiagram done 2 weeks ago : not much change in 5 years - still a mild condition..
Had ECG done today : fine, other than a fast heartbeat ( the flutterbys in the tummy were fluttering)
Blood Pressure: Normal
Cholesterol : creeping up !!!
Come back in 5 years....
The problem is a defective Heart Valve.

Oh sorry bout the MizT mistake I thought 13 rang a bell. Good news about the appointment, & great that the echo hadn't changed much. No doubt your heart rate would have been up, I'm surprised your BP wasn't as well!!

No the Blood Pressure has never been a problem. Only time it was up really high was when in labour with having the boys...

No haven't as yet, bought the sour cream, and extra apples on the way home. Thinking I should make a start shortly.... The cold meat and Salads are done.

Just that blood pressure can go up under stress, & usually doctors take that into account when the patient is in a stressful situation

Which reminds me, I was lurking this afternoon, & all of a sudden I only had 27 pages like you did Rola. I think my BP went up - I didn't know where everyone had gone to, & then I remembered that you said the same had happened to you

I have some cooked chicken in the freezer, which is now thawing. Made Potato Salad this morning, and a lettuce, tomato, capsicum, orange, apple, cucumber Salad.
I will plate it all up later and Gladwrap it. Then those who want to eat can when ready. Thursdays meals tent to be eaten in shifts

The boys busy studying on Thursdays, or partying?

No Jenni, the boys both finish Uni at 6.00pm. and the traffic home is quite heavy, so they get home a little later. Hubby (Cabinet Maker) tends to install cupboards on a Thursday. and is not home very early. Last year it was Son #2 working on the Thursday Eve and he would eat 4.30, Me 6.00pm, Son #1 7.00pm. Hubby whenever !!!

Yes I can understand, dinner would definitely be self serve !!

Last Year Thursdays tend to be Cold Meat and Salads, because I can have it all ready for when Son #2 came home from School. Guess the Habit is still happening !!!

Boring dinner tonight - steak & vegies & it will be a combined effort. But I will tell you what he is preparing for tomorrow night, when 4 of our friends are coming over. Entree will be snails in their shell with garlic, herb butter. And main course, which is cooking on the stove as we speak, is tripe cooked in a traditional French tomato based sauce!!!!!!!!

ummm Jenni, no offence, but I think I will stick to the Pumpkin Soup I will make tomorrow for dinner. Friday Night is Soup Night during the colder months.
Could possibly cope with the tripe, but not the snails !!

I have made the pastry for the Apple Pie, it is now resting in the fridge for 30 minutes. Now need to peel core and slice thinly 5 big granny smith apples

I could never stand tripe until I tried hubbys, & now YUMMMM. As for the snails, it's the sauce that makes them, & of course hubby makes the best sauce. They are to die for!! But definitely to everyones taste. One of the friends that is coming over came to our restaurant for her 40th birthday years ago, & she loved the snails entree so much, she had them for dessert as well.

Mind you the house smells a bit yuk at the moment

OK Rola, I'll le you go & make your pie - it sounds delicious. I will go & help hubby before he starts to grumble & bans me from the puter forever!!
