The Overseas Highway, in the Florida Keys, is a magnificent engineering achievement. But one of the original bridges, which was a marvel in its day, now stands abandoned. This bridge was built in the early 1900s for train traffic, and modified for cars - by putting a road on top! It is now in ruins, the surface decks falling apart. November 28, 2009
