Lifeboat from Maersk Alabama

This bullet-riddled piece of history first went on display at the USNavy SEAL Museum in Ft. Pierce, Florida, in August. In early 2009, Somali Pirates took the American flagged vessel, Maersk Alabama, off The Horn of Africa. They held the captain hostage in this vessel - till Navy marksmen, under direct orders from President Obama, shot all the pirates dead. Only open a few hours since its long, sealed journey, the smell inside had a disturbing scent, the mix of diesel fuel and death.
