I was into decopage as a hobby many years ago. Yes, it is a lot of work - 20 coat, sanding & resanding the coats. Once in awhile I would get a bubble when the photo lifted under the lacquer - pain in the .... I gave some as gifts to the family & still have many photos of our 1968 European Trip that have yellowed over time.
