Hi Kate, to SM status and your own page. I love the old photos and the pelican. Where were they taken?
I have left you a packet of caramel TimTams on your bench - unfortunately, my partner got me hooked on them whilst I was in hospital and as a result I now have to be on a diet!

Hi Kate, I think I must be slow off the mark but I have just discovered your wonderful photos. I now understand a lot more than I did yesterday. You are a very good photographer and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
I am delighted to see that you now have your own site and that you are getting broadband - I hope you are enjoying it as much as I did when we first connected. I don't know where I found the patience to wait for the old 'dialup' to download. It's a new world, isn't it?
I see that we share an interest in native plants - your photos of the banksias and grevillias are evidence. Also I share your interest in birds - we have crested pidgeons around here and you will see some of my pelican photos on my flickr page.
Unfortunately, my waterskiing days are over. I was never very good but I managed to stay on top of the water most of the time.
We will be coming down your way later in the year as part of a U3A photography group. Our objective is to photograph the Hawkesbury from one end to the other, and in November we will be staying overnight somewhere down your end and catching the morning mail boat as it does its rounds. Should be fun.

Hi Kate, thanks for replying. As I said, I am impressed with your photography - keep up the good work. You have an eye for the unusual and the beautiful, and that really is the first, and most important step towards good photography. The next step is to look for a better way of taking the photo - different angle, different composition, different lighting etc. You are doing well.
As far as our visit later in the year, I would be delighted if you were to hang a sign outside your house. I'll let you know our plans nearer to the date. It probably won't be until our November excursion (second Tuesday).
All the best.

Hello Kate - thanks for visiting my page and sorry it's taken me so long to return your visit.
I'm at work so I haven't got time to look through your photos now but I love the ones you have on display.
Here's some and a bottle of our local Goundry Unwooded Chardonnay for you to enjoy.

Hi Kate. I'm slow in coming to visit your page, but the welcome is just as warm as if it was your first day as a member. My traditional double chocolate fudge beavertail pastry (very rich and very sweet) is on your kitchen table, and I do hope you enjoy it. Like your photos. Where are the sandstone sculptures located?

Hi Kate, it's my turn to apologise. I should have replied earlier but the day has been just crazy - as you know.
My suggestion is that you should contact Gath and put your query to him, he seems to have control over these things. Just see 'Contact Us' in the top right hand corner of your page.
Cheers and stay dry.

Hi Kate, Nice to meet you, glad some people know where Richmond is . My mum lives about 500m from the RAAF base, the planes make her windows and her spoon collection rattle whenever they pass over. Saw your lovely photo today of the river, where was it taken? I felt it expressed the tranquility of the Hawkesbury river very well (although when the Bridge to Bridge is on, it isn't all that tranquil, still beautiful though

Kate, for visiting my page. The last six photos I didn't know if they would be there as we just had a black out. Power off for half an hour but at least it is not as bad as the Newcastle area or Bar Point.

Hi Maureen, following this is a copy of a comment I sent to Ian earlier. The power went off Friday evening just after Sandra ran us with the first bit of information, it's still off now. The phone went off today for sometime (Sandra rang us on the mobile to update us about 8am, but she rang us back after 2pm on the 'land line' with a further update! 'Thanks for your concern, Ian. We were sensible & decided not to go up. The Hawkesbury is roaring. The tides are low at the moment but the water is as high or higher than the peak King tides! Our neighbour up there has been keeping us informed (by mobile when the phone went off!). One other More...

neighbour's boat was sunk another ended up on the rocks outside our place. Her husband is in the UK with a boat for the Fastnet race, so our immediate neighbour (who's been keeping us informed) became her 'Sir Knight in Shining Raincoat' & got it off the rocks & back tied up at her place. He's 72&1/2. His wife was watching & thought he was going to be pulled into the water, so she stripped to her undies as well & donned her raincoat, but he managed by himself. He got back home & noticed our canoe had been knocked off its shelf so then he retrieved it! There's no power at the moment but everyone we know up there is safe & still have their homes. Some of them have collected pumpkins floating down from Windsor!! The river is muddy & dangerous because of all the trees & rubbish (& pumpkins!) being washed into it. We have friends in Maitland & the Hunter (as a lot of others do) & it's a lot worse up there! It's not much good for the farmers whose produce is being washed away & the others who'd just planted because they'd had some rain!'

Hi Kate, I'm glad you're OK. My brother and his wife drove up from Melbourne last week to spend a couple of weeks 'house-sitting' at Lake Macquarie! They copped the full fury of the storm and although they were a bit shaken, they survived without any damage to themselves or the house they were staying in. The dog, though, couldn't really understand why he couldn't go for his daily walk. We had no problems apart from a fair bit of rain.

Hi Kate from Sydney(Lane cove) I'm sorry I've upset you so much. I've been Kate/Sydney on jigsaws for quite a while. My sister Maureen introduced me to the site. I have a few friends called Kate & at least one of them lives in Lane Cove, so maybe you should add your street in lane Cove as well. I've met Schultz quite a few times on jigsaws. I think he's a great dog.

Hi Kate, yes we are at Lake Macqarie and it has been bucketing down. Today the weather is a touch milder and I think we are going to tour the area - hopefully. The most important thing is that we are all warm and dry and there's still some 'rough red' left in the cask. I'll be in touch after we return tomorrow.

Hi Kate, I'm Glad you enjoyed my photos. Since I brought my camera I kick myself if I leave home without it.Like this morning we had a heavy frost. As I was heading into town, two Angus bulls were pushing & shoving their body heat rising all around .every thing around them crisp white. NO CAMERA.

Hi Kate, thank you for the welcome home. Actually, we drove back today and the traffic was really quite light. The reason we stayed over on Sunday was we went for a drive to Newcastle to have a look at the beached 'Pasha Bulker'. I'm so glad we did because I took some fairly decent photos. I have posted a couple of them on my flickr site if you wish to take a peek. I'll probably submit a couple more over the next few days - I don't want to submit too many or they will become boring.

Oh Kate, shame on me for not greeting you sooner! you've just joined an odd lot for a family. We're as delightfully insane as they come. You'll never be bored with us. I brought a bottle of California wine (red or white or even pink, your pick), box of Belgium chocolates (just don't breathe while eating the liquor filled ones at least not near a fire) and some . Do drop by anytime!

Oh yes, Kate, isn't scary when your loved ones go to war? I feel as if I hold my breath all the time my son is in Iraq. After the second deployment I'm getting practiced to qualify for deep sea diving.

Hello Kate - yes, they were my photos. There was a run of about 25 of my photos almost everyday at that time taken in Peru and Argentina mainly.
I love your photo of the pelican. On my way home from work the other day I watched two soaring against the sunset, they looked quite spectacular, but of course, I didn't have my camera with me.
I'll give you a little push and get you over to the next page. Here goes - push, Push PUSH
