My sister and I spent about 2 weeks touring Tassie some years back; do I remember a rather lovely Botanic Gardens somewhere near this spot ? We went for a walk along one side of the gorge, then crpssed over to the other side where the gardens were. Do I remember correctly?

You are correct, Ykm. The cliff grounds gardens are quite beautiful, although the only Botanic garden is in Hobart. Do you remember crossing the suspension bridge. It's great fun to stomp on that as you cross, because the whole thing swings.
