Sarah, it has been sprayed with a coating of polyurethane (Estapol). Makes it easier to dust and keep clean.

A usual - another learning experience, finding out about Mallee roots. Would there be several of these gnarled roots for each tree or does yours represent the size of this particular tree? What a unique project!
