January 2010 brought record cold and with it a record mass-beaching of cold-stunned sea turtles. They are cold-blooded animals of tropical waters. When warmed up they are fine! Here, rehabbed animals, now healthy, are on the floor of the van. What you can't see in this pic is how they were all crawling around!
