This is the starting point of the Rideau Canal, a National Historic and a World Heritage site. It runs between Ottawa and Kingston, approximately 210 kilometers or 126 miles. It is also, during winter in Ottawa, home to the largest skating rink (and many Beavertail Stands for skaters!).
