Poor Old Red

This is actually a living tree. It is a huge River Redgum which has been through a bushfire at some stage and the inside has been burnt away. Up above though there is a crown of healthy leaves and new growth. Tough old trees!

Never used to be grass around this tree when I was a kid. Have spread out my towel many a time under this tree - a good landmark to meet people by [well before the pool was built].
