To Steve: time to break out the heavy artillery
on this one - looks like a monster.

Now that's a dramatic and breathtaking sight! Happy weekend, everyone!
 |  |
It looks cold!
 |  |
I see no Dinosaurs parked anywhere!!
 |  |
Dinosaur parking in the US is all underground.
 |  |
It was a monster - until I finally found the forbidden pairs of 17s.

mAen all
 |  |
Good afternoon to all! I didn't know there was a park just for dinosaurs! Can people go there too?
 |  |
Took me way too many guesses.
 |  |
Good mAen! Just writing to let you know I enjoy your humorous comments. We couldn't drive any higher because they close the road for the winter at this spot. But you could still see for miles and the sun was warm enough on the exposed south slope to melt the snow. And to think this area was tropical when the dinosaurs roamed...

Thought that was another one of yours, Wilodene. Fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
 |  |
I don't know how I do it.
 |  |
Good Morning all! No time for puzzles today ... it's my birthday ... and a big one! Errrk! Gotta take my 4 yr old to ballet first though! And I wouldn't miss it for the world!
 |  |
I think I see one of the dinosaurs just behind the big rock!
 |  |
No dinosaurs but a beautiful view

Happy Birthday Kate!

1) Start at 22 filled - the given puzzle. Unique Possibilities to 25 filled. (UP 25).
2abc) Locked 6's, 7's,9's at e456 forbids 679 at e1289.
2d) Hidden pair 24 at g3i1 forbids g3=19 and i1=1359
2e) Locked 1's at gi2 forbids cef2=1 UP More...

to Steve: fantastic! that was me sneezing. step 3
and 4 are beyond my current capabilities.(I not totally convinced of the validity of step 3 and I'm
not clear on what's happening in step 4.

First time I tried a tough one. Great!
 |  |
22:35 I tried to use the possiblility numbers, but when that wasn't working I switch to check moves.

Kate Happy birthday, enjoy your baby's ballet.
 |  |
My other computer is on the blink, so here is some analysis sans my notes:
Step 3: If we lose the 8 at g5 and the 45 at gi9 then we have Unique rectangle 39 at gi59. The ALS 458 at gh7 has 45 weak across the potential Unique rectangle. Thus, all 8's that see g5 and gh7 are forbidden. This is More...

Despite what the caption says, Dinosaur National Monument, just east of Vernal, Utah, is not a National Park. 'National Park' would give it different status with the National Park Service than its current 'National Monument' status. The Bone Wall in the Quarry Visitor Center shows thousands of dinosaur bones, still entombed in solid rock. The Visitor Center is currently closed for renovation.

Kate From Sydney (Lane Cove) - Happy Birthday!!

Wilodene -Thanks for the pics. and info. Sorry your park was downgraded by Jim, but it does looks more like a park than a monument to me.

ang From india - try

Jim is right. It is designated as a National Monument, with 210,844 acres of scenic river canyons, mountains, basins, and archeological sites. Because it is so large and operated by the National Park Service, I thought only the Dinosaur Quarry was designated as a monument, but I was wrong. And More...

9:17 I don't see any dinosaurus, but this photo could be as well from Finland....

Hello, does any know what Steve From Ohio is talking about. Is there a special way to solve Sudoku Puzzles, apart from the obvious. Thank you
 |  |
Hi DianneMB!
There are many ways to solve Sudoku puzzles, not all of them are obvious. A link at the bottom of this page - 'proofs' - can be used to understand the terminology used at this site. The Scanraid site: http://www.scanraid.com/sudoku.htm can be used for information regarding some More...

Thank you Canuk Greg, Nina and Corky for your birthday wishes! :-) I've had a great day starting with cake and coffee at ballet and ending up at the zoo where I patted a huge seal who was being fed - nothing like a 4 year old to tell everybody Mum is 40 today at what turned out to be a most More...

Kate - Happy Birthday. Your little girl must be very cute doing her Ballet. Precious Memories!
 |  |
hmm typos!
step 4:
4) g6=1 == g2=1 -- g2=5 == 789=5 -- h7=5=5 == h7=8 -- h4=8 == a4=8 -- a4=2 =={fc on 2's: i4 == c4 -- c7 == d7 -- d3 == g3} forbids g6=2 UP 30
Let me know about any more...
 |  |
Still did not get all the typos even in step 4:
4) g6=1 == g2=1 -- g2=5 == g789=5 -- h7=5=5 == h7=8 -- h4=8 == a4=8 -- a4=2 =={fc on 2's: i4 == c4 -- c7 == d7 -- d3 == g3} forbids g6=2 UP 30
I just am not careful enough b4 I post!
