everyone! It's the end of the week! Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
17/Oct/09 12:01 AM
1:28, a nice fast one to start the day!
17/Oct/09 12:04 AM
Yes, Chris - A fast puzzle for what looks like a slow start to the day!
17/Oct/09 12:22 AM
Maybe everyone is packed in Vici's suitcase!
17/Oct/09 12:23 AM
Yep, we've got it to ourselves Shiela. Too bad I'm not up for a party - it's past my bedtime!
17/Oct/09 12:26 AM
Sweet dreams, Chris!
I'll party on alone!
17/Oct/09 12:27 AM
Good Maen Sudokuland! The Weasely clock reports 1 at work, 1 snoozing in his bassinet, 3 watching cartoons. The kids are thus far enjoying their day off of school.
17/Oct/09 12:42 AM
1:52 Take me out to the ball game ...
17/Oct/09 12:43 AM
Don't let them ride any weather balloons, Jill.
17/Oct/09 12:43 AM
Good Maen from steamy Florida! Can't wait for the cold front coming though tonight and the cooler temps tomorrow!
17/Oct/09 12:45 AM
If you can't wait for cooler temps, Glenn, how about we swap states? Most of this so-called summer didn't even hit the 80s -- I'm still trying to warm up from last winter.
17/Oct/09 12:54 AM
Glenn... Send any extra heat up here, okay?
They're talking about SNOW up here!
17/Oct/09 12:58 AM
Hello, Plum! How are things going for you today? Hope better than last reported.
17/Oct/09 1:00 AM
I will gladly swap some heat for some cold! It has been unusually warm here for October with temps in the mid 90s! Today it is supposed to only get up to 84 but tomorrow we are looking at 78 and then 71 on Sunday! We can finally turn off the A/C and open the windows!
17/Oct/09 1:07 AM
Slow recuperation, Shiela.
Upside is that I'm trying to take the time to think out ways of solving organizational problems, then delegating. I figure when I'm down, God's got me down for a reason and I try to cooperate.
17/Oct/09 1:19 AM
Good Maen all! Ahhhh - too bad the Padre's didn't make the play-offs this year (Go Yankees!)
17/Oct/09 1:22 AM
17/Oct/09 1:50 AM
Vici - have a great trip - may the Angels win out.

Plum - you have the right idea.
17/Oct/09 1:50 AM
Notice all the empty seats behind the four who actually put down their electronic whatevers long enough to watch something real?
17/Oct/09 1:52 AM

Think they paid for those seats, Jeb? Or snuck down after the game started?

17/Oct/09 1:54 AM

17/Oct/09 1:54 AM
5 days, you can't have started packing yet, have you Vici?
17/Oct/09 1:55 AM
1:43 Hello to all. Is Padre a team of some sort?

Thought for the Day:

Contentment is not the fulfillment of what you want, but the realization of how much you already have.
17/Oct/09 2:05 AM
2:05 Maen! Yes, Andre, the Padres are San Diego's pro baseball team. Looks like a great day at the ballpark!
17/Oct/09 2:12 AM

It seems I am (carrying the torch ) for Fiona again.
Here we go!

Find out what the animals are! (for example, "To run away or escape" could be a More...
17/Oct/09 2:15 AM
1:43 A chill in the air here today--I wore gloves for my morning walk. More holes in the garden where the squirrels continue to abscond with our bulbs. Why didn't I put bloodmeal down? Be lucky to get one tulip coming up next spring.
17/Oct/09 2:15 AM
Oh Keith - you missed it by [] that much!
Yes, I have started packing - 5 days seems so close - I hope to weed out more clothes so I can pack as light as possible...taking lots of "stuff" (both Halloween and otherwise) that won't be returning with me. Guess it will make room for all the gifts I'll need to bring back!
17/Oct/09 2:17 AM
Thanks Dan, I've only ever been to one baseball game at the Shea Stadium in Queens, New York, to see the Yankees?...is that right, memory like a sieve here. I didn't have a clue what was going on from start to finish, but it made for a great day.
17/Oct/09 2:23 AM
Vici, if you're anything like I am, you'll pack and unpack several more times before the big day! And I STILL end up wishing I'd brought something or left something at home. Always!
17/Oct/09 2:26 AM
More for Plum--feel better soon!

Vici, remember my credo--you can never take too many pairs of shoes ...
17/Oct/09 2:39 AM
Vici - don't forget that you need time to buy those special items for stretching outfits/combinations.
17/Oct/09 2:42 AM
Eve - Yep! Lots of stretchy outfits...thanks! Very wise!
Andre - that would have been the Mets you saw at Shea Stadium (Yankees play at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx) ...but if it was inter-league play, the Mets might have been playing the Yankees.
17/Oct/09 2:44 AM
Cathy - hoping your credo isn't true...shoes are so heavy!!!
Kathy - I suspect I'll be packing, unpacking and re-packing continually over the next 5 days!
17/Oct/09 2:46 AM
Plum, that's a very "lemonade out of lemons" outlook.

Feel better soon.
17/Oct/09 2:46 AM
I still don't have a clue whats going on now...
Vici, I shall take a gander at my photos and see if I can find out what the game was. All I know is I burnt my knees, and got asked to say every thing twice because they wanted to listen to my accent. I've still got no voice, just a sort of deep resonance...sigh...
17/Oct/09 2:58 AM
Do you have room to pack me Vici? I can fold myself more than 10 times, not bad for a broad...sheet
17/Oct/09 3:00 AM
Can you repeat that please, andré?
17/Oct/09 3:01 AM
Has shosho hopped into your suitcase yet? She squiggled all around in mine, until I couldn't find anything for weeks. andré probably wouldn't mess things up so much.
17/Oct/09 3:52 AM
You aren't the only one André.
An old back woodsman goes to his first baseball game. The first pitch is a ball (Which means the ball was thrown out of the strike zone and the batter didn't swing).
The old man says: "Hmmmm, missed him...".
