G'day mates.
Here's today's daffynition:
Abracadabbler: An amateur magician.
Here's today's factoid:
The blobfish is able to live 1,200m (3,900 ft) below sea level because it doesn't have much muscle or skeletal structure. It only becomes ''blobby'' due to the change in pressure when it is brought above water.

Good morning HalT and Kayo. Love all the bikes in Amsterdam.
29/Sep/14 12:14 AM
Good morning to all! Is anyone else watching the final day of the Ryder Cup?

Re-posting the weekend puzzle. Answers tomorrow.

Good morning all.
29/Sep/14 12:31 AM
Thought I'd drop in to see what's going on. There's a thunderstorm here and the dog 's doing his usual, 'I don't like thunderstorms' thing!
29/Sep/14 12:34 AM
My iPad is playing up since I did the '8' update. Is anyone finding this a problem?
29/Sep/14 12:35 AM

I went with '7' on my new computer for that reason, Sacky.

Well, I just had to look up ''blobfish''.

The blobfish came into the spotlight as a result of its highly unusual features which resembled a miserable man.

Its weird body shape, and a head adorned with a huge nose and a frown, along with its tiny and sad looking eyes make it More...

fellow puzzlers, hope all is well in your world.

I will have to remember Kayo's daffynition for my 6yr old grandson, he is one of those!!!

Work keeps getting in the way of watching the golf but Im enjoying what I see of it...

a beautiful day in OK
29/Sep/14 12:51 AM
I have'8' on a new computer, and I can hardly stand to use it. I may pay for a different OS.
Good Maen, all. I probably have to take advantage of a beautiful fall day in Texas and get some yard work done (before or after grading some Algebra tests).

, y'all! Good to see some lurkers check in yesterday - sorry I missed the chit chat. (I seldom time myself on Sudokus, I'm smart enough...just not that quick!)

Yesterday's absence was due to taking Silverteen and 2 friends to a concert in Charlotte, and they wanted to make a day of it - going to the mall, getting to the venue early, etc. Bands were 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction. Silverteen likes indie/alternative rock... and this one British boy More...

You need to be careful with your hearing at those loud concerts. Doctors recommend wearing earplugs, you can still hear the music but your ears get some relief!
29/Sep/14 1:59 AM
Busy place that Amsterdam. Great that they go by bike too.
29/Sep/14 2:00 AM
Happy birthday, Mr. Cee! Tried to leave the birthday song on your page twice but neither showed up!
29/Sep/14 2:17 AM
Been a long time since I was in Amsterdam

Most of our generation was
HOME SCHOOLED in many ways.
1. My mother taught me
'If you're going to kill each other, do it outside.
I just finished cleaning.'

2. My mother taught me RELIGION.

Another Ryder Cup for Europe. That's 8 of the last 10. Well done. I was very impressed by the young players on both teams. The future of golf is bright.

Didn't mean to grab your 22 Keith.
29/Sep/14 2:58 AM
Sue, you brought back some wonderful memories, both on the giving and receiving end of those 'home school thoughts'

I would love to see a picture of a Blobfish as it actually looks in it's natural environment.
29/Sep/14 3:23 AM
I feel 'aesthetically challenged' just now.
I do the Sudoku puzzles sometimes but I don't post much because I am afraid I shall moan too much.
Amongst other problems, I have now developed osteo-arthritis of the knee and pain reminds me about that all the time.
I think the blobfish is lucky More...
29/Sep/14 3:38 AM
OK... I googled it. It's a relatively nice looking fish for a deep sea denizen.
29/Sep/14 3:39 AM
Good morning.
29/Sep/14 6:21 AM
Don't worry, Rayray. Even your moans come out poetically! Right now I've just put a Salonsip large pad over my elbow with a compression sleeve. I have been lifting and carrying rather heavy items and now my crybaby elbow is getting back at me. At least I keep the arthritis in my knees at bay with braces and compression sleeves for a couple of hours after a run. No need for medication!!!
29/Sep/14 6:31 AM
But I guess I better find out some good exercises to strengthen up my arms! Wonder if that'll get rid of the wobbles!
29/Sep/14 6:32 AM
Shosho, I always bring earplugs to concerts - I'm partially deaf in my left ear and I'll use one in that ear frequently. The one in August wasn't as loud, and I didn't use a plug in my right ear for the first act. I expected the same last night, but it was crazy loud. After the opening act, right earplug went in. Left ear is fine, right ear still a little fuzzy today.

Vent . I am SO tired of stuff failing. First the fridge, then my computer, today a memory card with all my photos which I HAVEN'T been able to download because my computer died. I was using Silverguy's laptop to save them, and the card's system files failed! I'm trying to recover the pics More...

Good morning all.

Good to see you here Rayray.. know what you mean about the osteo.. both knees and R hip.. the pain and the stiffness slows me down no end... so much so that any prospects of a trip across the pond has been shelved until I can organise some pain management strategies that More...

Morning all, how do you know which bike is yours.
I was up till 1:45am watching the Ryder Cup,could not go to bed till it finished. I agree Greg, the future of golf does look bright.
