A belated birthday greeting to Wolf??? Must have been a big one!

Had a great time hiking in the Smoky Mountains. We hiked over 17 miles in three days. Two 'difficult' trails and one long 'easy' trail. Lots of autumn color & perfect hiking weather. No bears this year! All but the far southeastern edge of the park was 'business as usual' for the park because of Hurricane Helene. Then again, we seldom hike in that part of the park. There is over 522,400 other acres (over 2,114 km2) to choose from. A beautiful place for an autumn trek!
