Double-Crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus)
The hooked bill and thick neck set Cormorants apart from the anhingas. They winter in large numbers at Royal Palm in Everglades National Park. I like the way its eye looks in the light. Feb 17, 2009

Are these the ones that grow white feathers on either side of their heads? We saw several like this in Mexico, but they had the white feathers. They also had the yellow skin, but I wasn't close enough to see if they had blue eyes!
