Jim and Jonah

Jonah the Loggerhead Sea Turtle was our last educational specimen. He was just 2 years old in this pic. After attaining his release carapace length of 45cm, Jonah was released in April 2008. Unfortunatly, he returned in June, after being caught by a fisherman. His hook was easily removed, but Jonah did not respond. He had a terrible disease, Lethargic Loggerhead Syndrome, and died the last week of July, 2008. RIP little buddy.
