Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin frolic at Ten Thousand Islands, Everglades National Park, Florida, USA

Jaz and I took the boat tour out of Everglades City, in Everglades National Park. We encountered a large pod of dolphin at the line where the mangrove islands end and the unbroken open waters of the Gulf of Mexico begin. There were at least 30 dolphin around our boat when I snapped this shot of a dozen or so of the marine mammals as they passed a few feet from us. November 14, 2009.
