Ruby, if you're talking about the sunglasses, thank you and here! here! I've aways hated sitting in front, especially in school.
Kath, what part of Maryland are you in? I'm sorry, I know your answer is a repeat, but my elderly mind doesn't remember.

You mean the filters. When I got DSL they sent me filters so it wouldn't mess up the phones. Ironic, huh? The filters go bad and mess up the phones.

Ruby: Oh o, I thought DSL was supposed to cause
fewer problems. Sorry, Kathy had told me to wear sunglasses and mine don't filter the sun too much.

We've been here for 30+ years. Bowie has gotten much larger over the years. Big shopping mall (Town Center), lots of restaurants, we even have our own police force! Good thing too, crime has risen with the growth

Wow Kathy; it really has grown. Is there still a horse track (or was i a raceway)? I don't know of Suitland has its own police force or not, but it sure needs one. Although all of my memories are there, it's nothing like it used to be.
Well, got the towels all folded; now I've got the whites to deal with--gotta do the t-shirts before they become a mass of wrinkles. But, I think I have to sit here for a while, my back is killing me!

RUBY, there are 40 posts per page. and look at the number of comments, I see that just under the title, Sudokuaholics Anonoymous. multiply 40 x page number, subtract number of comments from that, and how many more posts you neeed to turn over to new page.
15X40=600, we are at 578, or were when I started typing, need 22 more posts.
YOU KNOW YOU ARE A SUDOKUAHOLIC when you do the sites longest CP to get to top of a page. AND STILL do not make top spot. YEP, ruby belings here hehehe.
CP, you happen to have another cereal avator handy?? Ruby deserves a prize.
May I be readmitted to the room now? and my hands are tired from sitting on them.

CYNDI, ask all the computer questions you want. We all had to learn, and I learned a LOT by asking friendly folks how to do what I wanted to do. I am available any time, lots of others are also, so ask away, learn something new today.

The race track closed for racing years ago. They still use it for training.
The Baltimore Orioles minor league AA team (Bowie Baysox) is here. The stadium has been here for 15 years. Just off Rt.301. We have season tickets and really enjoy spending summer evenings there. As a matter of fact, there's a game tonight, so I need to get ready to go. Nice chatting with you.

Chalkboard, I received answers about how to make a area of a quilt recede. All 3 suggested heavy quilting. I forgot to ask what color thread though, but I am thinking with a thread that blends in. I can ask again, my bad.
One lady who is very creative said slash your sashing and add batik fabric between the pieces, would reduce the amount of dark and refocus onto the batiks. Might work if you are playing down the Sudoku grid connection. When she said slash, i thought of the medieval sleeves, where fabric is behind and sort of pulled through. Or more neatly done, make a slash in the sashing, equal to half the length between blocks and centered, turn under the edges and pull back, sort of like in Cathedral Windows block, but in a football shape, rather than an equal diamond shape, with batik fabric behind. You see, each of us would make a different quilt from what you started hehehe.
OK, just our thoughts, and hope theyInspire you on to something that is just right for your quilt. We had fun talking about it though, thanks for letting us play with your idea a bit.

A prize for Ruby in her failed quest to be atop of the page should be an emerald encrusted wand that she can wave at Kathy, who not only beats her to the top BUT also tries to get her to work against her GEMINI sisters!
Kathy, just in case you don't know, we geminis are sweet, but we can change quickly....you, little Miss, have made some smart cracks,'admitted elderly nuts near the chair'...'watch out for them'....moving chairs around to avoid us....NO WAY! As much as it pains me I do fear, we are going to be forced to banish you to the naughty room, so that we can play! Yes, I'm the big sister of the gemini three...what a different position in life for me. My siblings are also gemini, and I am the baby of that group..yet here I am and I bear the big sister role with pride...since I've lived my 3 score and 10 and I'm now reaching to add another one. My mom said it was borrowed time...but that's okay, because theres plenty around. So gather around and hear me well....Lets have a blast while we are ALL here. Life is short, so use it well, and May you feel special every day...Just because you are! Peace!

Almost forgot to bring my Comfy Chair.
It is cold here this morning. The weather man on the radio at 7.00am (a hour ago), said it was 3.4C in Perth, and the suburb near where I live it got down to .9C (usually the coldest spot overnight in Perth). Brrr Brrr Brrr I think my heater in the family room is going to stay on a little longer than usual this morning.

Mamacita, you may well be the biggest, too. I'm only 5'1 1/2' We won't discuss the other dimensions and I don't know how to express it metrically. When I was in the first grade the teacher said the metric system was coming. It hasn't gotten to me yet.
