DSL. Had to have a dedicated line because he signs on to work from home every morning before leaving.

Satellite. It can be finicky in bad weather.

We can't get anything else here besides dial-up and that's just to slow these days.

Seems like each one has it's problems. Ours sometimes drops for no reason. A few neighbors have cable and they complain about it being slow. So far, I've been pretty happy with this.

Mine sometimes drops for no reason, too, and it isn't quite as fast as DSL or cable, but fast enough.

Also have to keep the dish cleared of snow in the winter.

My big complaint is that every 6 months or so I have to call SBC and bargain with them about the price.

They keep changing it?

Yeah, they have set prices and they'll run 'specials' to get new customers. When the contract is up, they immediately charge the higher price. So, after checking for their latest promo price, I call them up and threaten to switch if they don't give me that price. Hate doing it, but this last one saved us $20. a month.

Just wish it wasn't me each time. Hubby keeps telling me I'm so much better at it. He calls it the 'bitc*y people' discount.

Lol, that's his excuse and he's sticking to it. I get to make all the phone calls around here,too. Mine just hates talking on the phone. He always says 'We should call' and you know who 'we' is.
