My visit went well. There are several possibilities as to what's wrong, ranging from an imbalance in my thyroid meds to Epstein-Barr syndrome. I'm having blood tests done tomorrow morning .. early... the kind that requires fasting... to help figure this out.

Aha! Thank you, Vici. So, it was Viv's own fault concerning the birth date confusion. I knew I had read it; I try to read all the posts carefully. (You don't always look terribly smart if you write or ask something that is contradicted or answered in a post you should have read just above yours.) So I'm not going to wish her a happy birthday again....

It's funny about posts, though...without the voice and inflection, it's hard to tell what is being said. In her quote she is really saying that she's celebrating early...but I took it as she was starting the day celebrating early.
I think it's something in the translation...those DUGs can be really hard to understand sometimes!

Outside of their strange vocabularies (sunnies for shades), (I've noticed syntactic differences, too.) Vici, can you imagine what those Aussie accents and inflections do to words and meanings? (I, of course, do not have an accent.) WHICH IS ANOTHER REASON I WANT TO HEAR THEM TALK. But mostly I want a voice to go with a face so I feel as if I know them better.

Speaking of accents - it was so cool speaking with Tricia on the phone. I hear each of you in my head when I read your words. I don't know what I was expecting, but I was surprised by her wonderful Southern drawl. She sounded just like a Belle...but I don't know why I wouldn't have been prepared for that!

No matter where I am, people are always confused by my accent. I don't think I have one, but I'm accused of having a Wisconsin accent by people in Kentucky, an east coast accent by people in Wisconsin, a spanish accent by people on the east coast, and I confuse everybody in between.

Rena, do you have an accent?

Me??? Have an accent. Impossible.

I always thought folks on the West coast don't have accents because we talk like people on the tellie talk! hehehe

You probably just talk through your nose, Heidi.

By the way, I have a terrible thyroid, too, and I've never had to fast for a thyroid test -- blood sugar, yes, but not thyroid. They try to give me diabetes every time I go to the doctor, but I refuse to have it.
