I read your menu before. You are much more daring than I. I saw a buffalo burger on the menu and decided to try it. My sister-in-law likes buffalo, and that kind of persauded me. No one else in my family would try it. I am not sure if I would try any of the other things you have eaten.

One of these days I'm going to try snapping turtle. It's quite popular around here, and is supposed to be really good. I would think it would be kinda tough, but the only way to find out is to try it.

I forgot to add Mourning Dove to my list. I was given some by a hunter friend.

I don't serve exotic foods to guests. Just the basics... steak, lamb chops, chicken, etc.

Then I will be delighted to come for dinner. Only problem is, I have no idea when I will be in Kentucky. I am probably going to NY next year for a wedding and am trying to put money away for my son's Bar Mitzvah in Jan. 2010.

I don't believe in upsetting guests. No nasty surprises. If they express an interest beforehand to try something unusual, I'll make an effort. I do have limits, though. IH is always on some screwy economy drive or other. A bunch of years ago, he thought it would be a great idea to save on grocery bills by picking up roadkill, and bringing it home. I didn't take to the idea, and kept telling him to get rid of it. The final straw was when he brought home a dead deer, that he SAID was hit by the car in front of him. He said that it was REALLY fresh, so I could have no objections. He then opened the trunk of his car to show it to me. It was a dark green color and stunk to high heaven.
He then got an earful of profanity from me, at my maximum decibel range. He's never done it since.

I am OK with people eating exotic meats, at least exotic to me, but I agree with you on the road kill. You have no idea how long the animal was there for. I would have been yelling also.

Apparently, that last IH story scared everyone away.

I have always been unable to log in to the chat room. I don't know why. I just tried 4 times, and failed miserably each time.
