Welcome. The main special word on the site is MAEN, for morning, afternoon, evening, night. The word means hello, and you capitalize the letter for the time of day where you are. Or you can find all 4 versions in Smilies. Other site words (most of which have gone out of use) are posted in Forums (find in heading bar), then scroll down to Off Topic, click on 'Show All' and scroll down what would be 2 or 3 pages to a thread called 'Sudokuspeak.' Probably more than you ever wanted to know.

Welcome Jim. I hope you have many years of participating on this site. All sorts congregate here but overwhelmingly all are friendly, helpful and supportive. Just say what comes naturally and as Keith has said the Maen/mAen/maEn/maeN are the abbreviations most use. So drop in and enjoy
