Hi jbs, I just saw your post. Have you tried going to the page "Easy Proof of Tough Sudoku..." at the top rt. of this page? It gives you basics too. Under 2nd paragraph, pairs, triples, forbidden chains, etc... Hope it helps! Enjoy ♥ PJ
