smitty, I know my limits and stick to Easy or medium - on here at least, I need pencil and paper for anything harder. But.... Just under the puzzle is a link to the Sudoku Forum and to the OK - Ask Me a Sudoku Question page which may have some help for you.
And I see Gail has also given you the following info bite, but what the heck??!!!....I haven't gone looking - because I'm being lazy tonight (again, no one dare say "What's new?!!"), but, there used to be a sudoku blog written by Steve that was all about solving tougher puzzles.

Hi Smitty. There is an understandable explanation of the Eureka notation if you look up the page of "Dave from Minnesota",where there is a reference to the relevent archive.
The cells are named somewhatlike the squares of a chess board; a to i left to right, and 1 to 9 bottom to top.
