Yoyomet! Just had to stop by your place as I loved your comment on the "Hard" puzzle today: So much beach, so few people. Hope to see more of you around the puzzle pages! Cheers!

Thanks, Vici. I've been playing on this sudoku site for years, and I finally decided to sign up. It seems like a nice bunch of people.
I'm from California too, buy the way. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley but then chose Pasadena as my home when I was an adult. Now I'm in jolly olde England with my British husband.

Small world, huh? Did you marry a Brit?
I'm in the northern part of the state - Grass Valley...kind of between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. I, too, had been on the site playing the games for years, only I hadn't noticed the posts (DOH!)
I've met some of the folks on-site at Sudokumeets and loved them all. I went to Australia this past fall to meet many of them - stayed with them while I was there traveling. It was heaven!

Hi Yoyomet! I seem to have missed your move in.
A belated
to you!
I've been to England several times and just love the names of some of the towns. Yours is a winner!
It makes me smile just reading it.
Good to see you posting!

This is the first time I've seen you post, so I'll offer an overdue welcome to your own special page. Enjoy my traditional 'page warming' gift, a double chocolate fudge beavertail pastry from Ottawa! Cheers!

Hi Yoyomet.Answering your query about how to proceed when all the unique possibilities are filled:
You look for a forced sequence, starting in one cell, which leads to a contradiction or a confirmation,or some other useful information. In today's puzzle (31st. March):
If f6=1;a5,a6,e5,e6 would all=39 and the puzzle would have two solutions(there is no way of deciding which is 3 or which is 9).So e6 must =1, and the rest are unique possibilities.
Regards, Alfred.
