while cruising down the river. Several castles looked like (and were called) upside down kitchen tables. I was amazed by the steepness of the hillside the vineyards were planted on.

We were told grapes grow very well on hillsides. Actually better that flat land. I think it has to do with drainage. Harvesting can't be much fun, though.
