This is one of a lonely couple of trees on the vast treeless plain between Deniliquin and Hay, N.S.W. A pair of eagles has been nesting there for some time now, as it's the highest point for miles around. It's not far from the road and very exposed but they are there every year. UPDATE 2008. The eagles have gone. One was found dead at the bottom of the tree with no sign of the other. The nest has been taken over by crows. It's so sad.
