How late did the virtual party go. sorry I missed the end. Onto the hard puzzle
Kat  From Tennessee
pretty little tortoiseshell (that spelling looks funny...). Is it predominantly males or females that have such a coloration? I can't remember, but I know one is more common.
LK  From ceecee
The party was still in full swing when I logged off sometime close to midnight my time.
Jenny  From Bedfordshire, England
As catherine remarked, tortoiseshell cats are always female - the genes that throw up that colour combination in females do something different in males. I think it may just make them ginger, which is why gingers are more often toms.

I like cats, but I do think we see rather too many of them (and dogs)on here!
fraz  From london (melbourne)
so there was a party after I logged off?

Darn it!
Cat Lady  From Long Island
Just over seven minutes. We have seen this lovely lady before. The tortoiseshell coloring is linked to the female chromosome, although there have been reports occasionally (rarely) of tortie males.
Amber  From Michigan
Oops, forgot to reset the timer!
suzanne  From seattle
I always thought it was calicos that were most often female. Also, that white cats with blue (i think)eyes are usually deaf. The party was quite interesting last night, i kept coming and going and the topics were all over the map...
hema  From MD
Hey Anjutai the diehard. Suneet hope you're feeling better.
Lindy  From Utah

5:33 Very easy for a Medium. Have been away for several days - husband borderline threatening to leave me over Sudoku! Like the cat, did not know that about tortoiseshells.
