Calothamnus quadrifidus

Common names include One-sided bottlebrush, Common Net Bush and Kwowdjard. It is native to south Western Australia, but grows well in our garden. Its one of my favourite natives and the birds love it.

The individual segments of the ''brush'' almost look like the leaves of a Japanese Maple !

I got some photos of the same species of Calothamnus (40 different species & all from WA!) in Ballarat Gardens a few years ago. Uploaded one for jigsaws in Sept 2011 - still waiting for it!!
