What, nobody TOPPing?

Down here the insurance agents do not help you too much beyond the initial paperwork. After all, they work for the same company that the adjuster works for.

Yes, they oversee agents and companies.
By this morning I was fit to be tied. The more I thought about it, the madder I got.

Here in Ohio, they've tied the agents hands when it comes to claims. They're not allowed to contact anyone except the company and their client.

I'm sure you were angry. You'll have to persist with these people. They make a lot of money on people who give up on their claims.

So who is on the warpath for you?

My adjuster told me not to talk to them anymore. Our company is going to take care of my damages then go after hers for reimbursement.
Yesterday, I was going between wanting to cry and being frustrated. And they wonder why people don't like them. I understood when I was an agent.

You sold insurance?

I didn't sell, thank heavens. I was the go-between our clients, claimants and the companies. I also was responsible for licensing in almost all US states, handling all aspects of taxis that went self-insured and other misc. things.

How interesting.

This all should be old hat for you then.

Of course, it's always a different matter when it's your hat.

I enjoyed working with our clients. We handled construction companies (demo, building, paving). I left because my boss was a little bizarre.

Some bosses are. I've been fortunate never to have one that was bizarre -- incompetent and overly strident -- but never bizarre.

She would walk up to people and tell them that she didn't like them because they were thinner than her. A few days later she would then ask them why they didn't like her.

Bizarre people never fare very well in the education business.

I've had a few teachers who we quirky. But, they turned out to be some of the best ones I had.

I have met people like that. It makes you wonder if they are serious or playing with you.

She was serious. Her husband caused a lot of her problems. He would call up and say nasty things about her to anyone who answered the phone.

Quirky is another matter. In an institutional setting they are like lights on a Christmas tree.

Ahhh... a lack of self-esteem rears it's ugly head.

They made the class interesting 'cause you didn't know what was going to be said next.

So when will you get the car fixed?

My company's appraiser is coming on Monday. Tomorrow I pick up a rental.

How have you been getting around?

I haven't. Been housebound for a week now. A couple of days ago, hubby took me to the grocery and out to dinner. That's all the further I've been. It's going to feel good to be mobile again.

I don't know how you have stood it. I've got to have wheels.

I'll bet your house is clean.

It's not that I run around a lot, it's not having that option that bothered me. A neighbor offered their car, I thanked them, but turned them down. Don't want to be responsible for someone else's car after all this.

I wish it was. Between hubby and the dog, it's an ongoing battle.

You're a better woman than I am. I borrow my neighbors truck when I need one.

I have in the past to run an errand, but lately the driver's around here seem to want to play dodge-em.

Dogs are a mess, and husband's, too. But, you've got to love them.

Only because other options are against the law.

I couldn't drive up there. When I lived in New York, my knuckles stayed white.

Against the law. lol. Just ask Michael Vick.

I try to go out between rush hours and plan out all my stops. I grew up in a rural area and it took me awhile to get used to the crazies here.
