RENA, I could have said, she is testing the limits of the environment in a unique and unstructured attempt to measure the limits of air pressure in non standard containers.

Cyndi, you're not too late. I've put you on the list.
I wasn't looking for anything in the archives. When I had my headache, was just curious about the beginnings of this site and how it evolved.

Now she is filling it with water. She also likes to make fish out of latex gloves by filling them with water and tying them up.

MizT, she lives on a hill and so far hasn't had any problems. The problem here is the the soil has a lot of clay in it. When it finally rains, it has a tendency to run off rather than soak in.

My hubby is going back to the shop to work, said it is a lot cooler out there now! Been working for the last hour and half, that is the reason I have had uninterrupted time on the computer tonight!

yes, our soil is like that, only worse. Clay and sand, when it is dry it is like bricks, and when wet, you sink like quicksand. THAT is the mud hubby drove the riding mower through!

She's ok. The counties that got hit the hardest were Richland and Crawford. One is east of Wooster and the other is south east.

Our backyard was starting to crack from no rain. I looked out the kitchen window and my pepper plants were laying down. When the rain eased up, ran out and staked them. Then had to run the hose on my feet.
We had red bolts of lightning going across the sky right before it hit. I've seen sheet lightning and white bolts, but never red ones.

run off rain from other yards collected at the low point in our yard, and there it soaked in to make the quagmire. I must see to clearing the drainage ditch , very shallow one, at edge of our property once again, so water does not collect. Digging out sand and silt is NOT FUN!

We have a low spot in our backyard where water always collects when it rains. Then we just call it our very own swamp, though I haven't seen any alligators yet.

Becky, ever seen GREEN lightning> sheet and streak lightning? in the middle of a blizzard? reflecting and bouning around off all the snow on the ground and in the air? We had that back in 90 something, the blizzard of the century. They called it thunder snow! beautiful but a bit spooky also.
