Hi all...Looks as if there has been much discussion about the chat room back and forth. While some of the comments seemed angry, I have come to know Billie, Jazz an Andrè from the easy pages and they are not unreasonable people. They have used the chat room and opened it as a fun place where they played silly games and had much fun. They are not the enemy! Those on these SA pages, who wondered in print about what had gone before they came, and who have not experienced the chat room as it was, are also reasonable people, and are not the enemy! Both groups have the right to express their opinions, but the outcome will be best if it can be done without being disagreeable towards one another. The topic has been raised on another forum, input requested and input given. Gath will be the only voice that will make a difference. Lets not let the site deteriorate into two camps that dislike one another, because of human curiosity and wondering on on side, and perhaps an ill advised
jump to judgement, based on a small sampling of comments, on the other. I have knowledge of only one person being banned from the site. I have seen cat-fights and have been involved in uncivil exchanges...I have also received much love, support and encouragement from folks both on these pages and on easy. There are great folks here and much fun to be had...so lets shake the adversarial positions and do what we do best...enjoying this great site as we had prior to this disagreement. May peace Reign!

Well MizT while you have been having heat we in the UK have suffered with cool and damp weather for quite a while. Since we got back from Canada about 5 weeks ago we have only seen the sun properly on 5 or 6 days

Well I'm glad to see that things seem to have returned to normal...it took me so long to get my last post through, that it is no longer relevant...yet I am still glad that I have had my say, and hope you all understand what I meant.

Oh I would not like NO SUN, Brenda, but I would like a little less sun at the moment. sunny afternoons raise the temp in my house considerably more than cloudy afternoons do. Not a problem till the outside air is above 90. My house sits broadside to the afternoon sun!

The fron of my house is south facing, but as the main living area and kitchen are at the back the house stays fairly cool no matter how hot it gets, but it also stays cool or even cold when the sun doesn't shine. I actually had to put a room heater on today as I was cold

Part of our horroscope for today . . .get things out into the open. Talk things out, and you'll find an answer. Of course, it's not about finding an instant solution -- it's about at least attempting to bring things out into the open. Making the effort to talk things out will go a long way toward creating greater harmony and respect between everyone involved.

GoodBrenda...All is not lost then. How is Callie? We have been having very low tempts for August. We have had 3 days that the tempts stayed in the low 60's for three days in a row...the first tim that's haened since 1940...Its also rained during those days...however we are to see tempts in the 90's on the next 3 days...quitea swing.

MAMA, I would hunt up my sweat suits and polar tec for a few days of highs in the 60's heheh, would be such a relief from the constant heat. humidity so low, it is hard to stay hydrated, I stay thirsty even though drinking a lot. speaking of which, I am off for something cool now, brb.

We never get temps as high as you MizT, but this summer has been atrocious. Hopefully we will have a decent weekend coming as it is a long public holiday weekend. Temp today has been around 58F and wet wet wet. Normal temperatures now would probably be low 70F. Forecast for tomorrow is sunny and 66F so hoping they are right

I the picture of your grand daughter Mama she is so sweet.
Callie is growing nicely. We took her out to meet another dog today and she really loves it, also she enjoyed walking off the lead in the area we chose to go to.

Hi to all.
Brenda, was Callie ever afraid of other dogs? Our pup Nuka was for a while. The hair on her back would stand straight up. She looked like a furry dinosaur.

Yes we are getting lots of enjoyment from her. She is 12 weeks old tomorrow. We are getting her socialised with people and dogs so that when we go out for long periods of time she will behave herself. At present everywhere we go people coo over her like they would a baby. She is also getting used to travelling by car too

Hi Rena. Callie has never been afraid of other dogs. The breeder we got her from had 7 adult dogs and there were 7 pups in her litter, so she was used to having dogs around her all the time
