My American nieces are old enough to bring babies into the world, but no news yet. In Oz my oldest niece is about to turn 18, my oldest nephew is a bit older, my oldest d is 15 so hopefully I have at least 10 years to wait until I'm a grandmother, and not much less than that to be an aunt.... Actually, I'm already an aunt, I have a nephew (by marriage) older than me.

Sorry Rolanda and Suzy, someone was getting paranoid and thought the world had stopped.
Can I wash my mouth out with scotch instead of soap Rolanda?

My nephew must be 49 or thereabouts. He was raised with my husband so although we call him nephew, he's actually more like a brother. His kids are our nephews...

Suzy, what he accidently left the premises?

Headline sounded weird... He says he did accidently leave the premises... He was 'slashed' by a fellow inmate, ran from him, they chased, he ran out of the open prison, but he didn't actually leave the area. Has had his sentence increased by 3 months and has been moved to a closed prison.

Was sent a bad word joke yesterday. No bad words are actually used, well, not actually, but implied. It's a song about the first time a little boy heard a bad word. He heard it from the chickens. He then sings the song of the chickens. It was cleverly done, if you like that kind of thing, which apparently I do because I laughed..

Forgot to mention earlier that my birth certificate name is unusual and causes me all kinds of trouble. Noone can spell it, and almost noone hears it correctly. Many, many years ago I was actually tsked and someone corrected the way I spelled my name on a form!

Yes - Karen, Karyn or Karin were rather common names in the early 70's.
