and a TOPP to boot...problem is I don't know what was on the end of the last page... yep... there is no pleasing the Bean today..
Good and bad news... most bloods were ok EXCEPT for the cholesterol...that was VERY nasty! Mini riot act read to me and I have to go back in 2 weeks about another matter.
Heidi have you used 'Norspan® Transdermal Patchs'? He has just ordered those for me to try and get me mobile again. I would love to talk to you about this if you have. Time to go to my next appointment. Catch you later...

I forgot the B. in T.H.E. B. Team.
What are "Norspan® Transdermal Patches' for? I've never heard of them? Are they any good for the aftereffects of an untreated broken back?

Heidi, I googled Norspan. It is a pain relieving patch that is supposed to work for up to 7 days.

They have me on some pretty effective pain and anti-inflammatory meds. already. And I'm also doing exercises designed to strengthen my back. The people in the Pain Management clinic probably feel that it isn't right for me.

I'm sitting here at the pooter monitoring the USPS tracking website. I'm waiting for them to update the tracking on a peacock that is being shipped from Florida to here.

According to their site, the bird spent 14 hours sitting in Jacksonville. I find that hard to believe. They also claim that the bird left Jacksonville 15 hours ago, but nobody has updated the tracking info on their computer system.

Which probably means that they will update it around 1 am this morning, so I'll have to run out to the main hub (1/2 hour each way) to pick him up then.

I think that their night crew has learned the sound of my voice on the phone. They've started greeting me by name when I call to see if the bird(s) have arrived.

There has FINALLY been an update! The peacock left Louisville a little over 2 hours ago. He is supposed to arrive in Elizabethtown (where I'll pick him up) in 1 hour!

That is really good that you have successfully tracked your peacock and hopefully will have it settled back in at home.
Heidi non of the anti-inflammatory's are working / have worked for me. Nor has the pain regime I have been on. What are you on if it's not too rude a question? I've been on the latest lot for over a week with minimal if any improvement. This is the next step along the road to getting me on top of the pain and hopefully mobile again.

The peacock is here, and he's lovely. Since he just came from a warm climate, I put him in my heated bird barn with the pheasants for a few days. He'll be able to visit with the other peacocks thru' the fence. Once he's recovered from his trip, I'll turn him in with the others.

It's a little too hard telling them apart, Tami. Even this new one is my 4th Pied, and all have similar markings.
