ROFL June. Heidi was asking today how you did it!
When we lived in the States we had a fireproof box but it didn't make it over here when we moved. We also had a safe deposit box at the bank - only $45 a year. I keep thinking we should invest in another fireproof box, but I don't know if Aussie banks even do the safe deposit box thing.

Today is cloudy and not too cool, will be a cooler day today than yesterday, but it is October, time for something cool. Tiny chance of rain and we could use some more.
Hubby and kitty still asleep, it is 5 AM here in Alabama, we are getting closer to a change in time and I am going the WRONG WAY, earlier rather than later getting up in the mornings.
Does anyone else have a slight problem getting the body to readjust to going on or off Daylight savings time? RolaDahlia, when do you go on daylight savings? We come off it here first weekend November, in 3 weeks.

Yes, for years and years, our change date was last weekend in October. they recently changed dates on both ends to give us 4 extra weeks of daylight savings. moved 3 weeks earlier in spring and one week later in fall. I am not sure why, but I do like daylight savings, hate the early dark in winter!
I shall have to bring back my lighted palm tree, fake, for a corner of my living room. It helps keep away the gloom before and after the Christmas Tree goes up.

And it's not even Halloween yet. Talking of Halloween, my son Connor is having a fancy dress birthday party (10 years old, where has my baby gone?) the day before. His B-day isn't till 8 Nov.

Well, as you can see by the times, that last one went in quickly. This one is NOT going through quickly, waiting for my internet light to say I am GO for a launch hehe.

I don't like the dark mornings, but I like the early evenings. I get to put my comfy Jammies on and wrap up in a blanket in front of the TV. And to think i'm still on the good side of 40.

Ahhh, hope Connor enjoys his birthday/Halloween fancy dress party. Sounds like a lot of fun.
How many children do you have? Hubby and I combined have 3 girls, scattered to the far edges of the USA. One I talk with daily, the other 2 more sporadic. They are in Connecticut, north eastern USA, One in Florida, the hangy-down state in south east USA and one is in California, on the west coast.

Only forgot the cyber coffee, drinking my second mug full this morning. I guess I just need more hours of light than we get in the winter. I think I am part plant and have chlorophyll flowing through my body to make my summer time energy hehe. I love to get up early mornings in summer and be greeted by the sunshime and know I have hours and hours of sun ahead of me.

Laughing at your hubby mental age comment, somedays I think mine is about 10. You know the age when they are asked to do something, reluctantly start, do a half way job of it and disappear first time your back is turned.

Dave is meant to be in the garden right now, I look out the front and the car is gone and his phone is still on the table. He will turn up in a few hours with a lot more plants that will sit in their pots and die.

How far are you from London? I have not talked with either sister in over a week, not even an e-mail message. One of my sisters, the one who lives closest to me, about an hour 15 min drive, has Mono, like Heidi and is soo tired she does not even phone or get on her computer. the other lives in Atlanta Ga, and is now job hunting. Big computer service company and it closed down. So I do not hear from her much either.

OH NO, not another plant killer!! I only keep flowers in containers on my back and front porches. I was unable to water them in September and it was hot and dry. Hubby ignored them and my requests he water for me. I have some house plants that survived, will come back inside shortly, but my annuals, bloomers, are dry and dusty. ONE red verbena survived and is blooming heartily.

We are about 90 miles from London. which isn't far, but you have to remember the only US state which is close to the UK in size is Rhode Island.
The last time I saw my sister is last Christmas, we have lived here for nearly 6 years and she has never been here!
